About Lunch Kits

I am very much in favor of lunch kits over paper lunch bags, and this is for several reasons:

• You save on cost, waste and resources. 
• It teaches your children to take care of their things (ie they must keep track of their lunch kit and bring it home every day)
• You can more easily use plastic containers for their food items (paper bags tear easily)
• Lunches don't get crushed as readily
• Easier for your child to identify their lunch
• Your child is more likely to value the contents (if you have children taking lunches you won't laugh too hard at this one)

I do prefer to use reusable containers whenever possible. I must admit, though, I do use ziploc bags once in a while.
